Chaim Finkelstein’s book brings back a world which no longer exists. It restores the memory of a once lively and vibrant, but now nearly forgotten culture. Polish publication of this work is being undertaken by the Jewish Historical Institute in Warsaw: http://www.jewishinstitute.org.pl/ The Polish publication will preserve this rich piece of Polish-Jewish heritage in its place of origin – Poland. Translated into Polish, this book will become an invaluable resource to scholars of the pre-WWII Jewish society and culture in Poland. It will also serve as a resource to those of us who want to learn their forgotten heritage.

Approximately $10,000 is needed for this undertaking. The funds will pay for the Polish translation and publication of the book in Poland.
